Bear hunt at Lathkill

This week Keisha's favourite story is "We're going on a bear hunt", that is exactly what she wanted to do today. We parked the car at the east side of Monyash OS grid reference SK157664 fearless we set off on our bear hunt.

The walk commences from the start of Lathkill dale with a shallow dale and no river in site. A mile along the dale the river Lathkill emerges. A bluetooth wildlife guide is available. Is this another reason why I should be convinced to purchase an uptodate mobile phone.

After walking along some of the slippery limstone and scrambling over some of the rocks. We found a convenient rock to stop for a cup of tea and biscuits. Our stop point overlooked the start of Lathkill a fantastic view. I had not been here for a while it was great to be back here.

Keisha was keen to explore the steep sides of the valley and she eagerly gave this a good try.

Fun in the Snow Sledge Trials

Everytime it snows I think it would be a good idea to buy a sledge. Some neighbours kindly leant us their sledge. It was a quality sledge we zoomed along on metal runners at good speed. Definitely better than a plastic tray or thick plastic bag.
