The Quad Tribe

The name for this post was chosen by Keisha and Louis. After careful scrutiny of the map Louis decided we should walk White Edge, Green Edge, Froggatt Edge and Curbar edge.  We started from the junction of the A621 and Clodhall lane (near the path that goes to Gardoms edge). Keisha and Louis were keen to find a geocache on Froggatt.

Lots of long horn cattle feed here K and L thought this one was particularly cute.

I was fascinated by the Mackerel Sky!

Refreshment stop for the Ride for Eric Bike Ride
We chatted with the people manning the refreshment stop for the Ride for Eric Trust. Ride for Eric is a Sheffield charity created to educate and advocate cycling safety and remember a great man.

Exchanging goodies for the geocache
After some zig-zagging a look at the map and the GPS watch we located the Froggatt edge geocache, hooray. Keisha abd Louis want to do more geocaching and suggested we construct our own. We go by the geocaching name happyhares. Our final destination before returning to the car was the ice cream van at Curbar Gap... hooray.
Louis and his peacock chair
As we returned to our car we met someone carrying a rather curious looking net, we asked him about this and he told us that it was a good time to spot dragonflies. As we were chatting we spotted a Golden Ringed Dragon fly. What a great end to our walk.
